THE STORY BEHIND

My inspiration for this scarf was Queen Anne's bridal bouquet, made of pea flowers, which she wore at her wedding in Athens on June 10, 1948. The geometric background of the scarf, based on Queen Anne's royal cipher, juxtaposed and multiplied, represents the geometry of her life. The delicate pea flowers, which seek to meet in the middle, sensitively outline the steadfast and strong personality of Her Majesty. The azure and yellow colors refer to the coat of arms and the French origins of the House of Bourbon-Parma, where Queen Anne was born. The light blue color also symbolizes here a path of reverie and a quiet eternity.

QUEEN ANNE JUBILEE SCARF is a tribute to the life and personality of King Michael's wife, to mark the centenary of her birth (18 September 1923), in 2023.
